Emperor Arel Ithana was the 4th (fourth) Ruler of Aunitha, the millennia-spanning Empire that defined the Aunithan Era and dominated much of the continent Esceira.

Arel Ithana was born on the 32nd of First Light, 1107, Aunithan Era, to House Claiven of the Aunithan Empire. An Elf of Aaric descent, he spent his youth pursuing magical studies under several of House Claiven’s most experienced Magi. Later in life, he proved himself an extremely capable leader during the lengthy Inheritance War, bringing the Aunithan Empire victory over the Traitor Houses.

Archivist’s Note:

Conflicting records imply that Arel Ithana was not actually born to House Claiven and was not even of noble heritage. These records were studied extensively, and the Scarlet Archive believes it is likely that these records were simply misinformation spread by some of the lesser Houses who didn’t wish to see him become Emperor.

Arel Ithana was named the new Emperor of Aunitha following the Inheritance War, during which Empress Leinith Carun met her end. Notably, this was the only accession to which all Grand Houses agreed unanimously.
